It was huuuge for an indoor show--the annual Timonium Motorcycle Show at the MD State Fairgrounds in Timonium MD. Hundreds of the latest bike builders along with their concepts and man antique bikes were on display. Among the builders that were there was Vinnie/Cody of Orange County Choppers, Playboy model Shawn Hektor was there and was posing on a Charm City Chopper. Gina Lynn was also there at her Skin Industries booth which also featured motorcycles from Savage Cycles. Also present was Roland Morrison who had his World Speed Record Powered Street Luge. Feb 2009 DC Auto Show @ DC Convention Center. Every year after the New Year, Washington DC holds its annual Auto Show. This season's show held in early February brought in an estimated 700 types of transportation vehicles. This ranged from small economy cars to SUVS to even exotics. The new years' models from various manufacturers were on display. In this show a 40+ were noticed from both the domestic and import manufacturers. The theme of this year's show was going green or energy-efficient vehicles. Of notable presence were VW, Porsche and even AUDI with their world winning R5 TDI race car. 10-2008 Eastern Division National Fall Meet, Hershey PA
If you are into vintage cars and had deep pockets, this show was for you! The 2008 Eastern Division National Fall Meet was held at Hershey Park located 12 miles east of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This show has earned the nickname "the grandmother of all old-car shows" and attendants were able to: see restored vintage automobiles and browse thru numerous spaces for parts for automobile projects
This annual event was held from Oct 8 through 11 and this year of noticeable presence were Rolls-Royces, Model Ts, several Riviera Turbos, Porsche 356s and even the concept car from Plymouth known as a Belmont. This show was most definately not your average car show!!
Englishtown (E-town), NJ is where it happend this year--the 6th Annual Shakedown Races were held at E-town, NJ. This year the presenting sponsor was Al Anabi Racing and Speedtech Nitrous was the presenting sponsor. This event was a 2-day event full of racing from various teams which included the following classes: Pro Outlaw, Outlaw 10.5, Drag Radial and Heavy Street racers all running against each other on the drag strip.
The combination of cool weather, along with a total purse in excess of $150,000 provides great incentive for the racers to make it to the next round.
